Stock market opening: Market rises for third day, Sensex rises 400 points, Nifty crosses 16,200

The Sensex opened with a strong gain of 396 points at 54,574 in the morning and started trading, while the Nifty opened with a gain of 141 points at 16,274 and trading started. Since this morning, the sentiment of investors remained positive and was seen going towards buying with the help of global market. Sensex and Nifty continued to rise on the back of investors’ confidence. At 9.26 am, the Sensex was trading at 54,527 with a gain of 300 points, while the Nifty was up by 90 points at 16,222.

There is a strong rally of 0.99 percent in Taiwan’s market and 1.32 percent on South Korea’s Kospi. In today’s trade also, China’s Shanghai Composite is showing a decline of 0.06 percent.
