Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot dead in the northern city of Nara on Friday morning. He was giving a speech during the election campaign. In the meantime he was later shot 2 times. He was shot and fell on the road. He was taken to hospital in a blood-soaked condition. Different information about their condition is coming up.
According to Japanese media, Abe’s heart has stopped working. They are having trouble breathing. The rest of the organs are not working either. The news agency AFP has expressed fears of his death.
As Abe was giving his speech, there was a sudden sound of gunfire and he collapsed. He was initially reported to have been shot in the chest, although he has since been shot twice. He is undergoing treatment at Nara Medical University Hospital. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has reached out to inquire about his whereabouts.
Police have arrested the 42-year-old attacker. A gun has been recovered from him. The cause of the attack, however, is not known.
