It is being said that the Chief Minister of the state may make a big announcement for the youth to move ahead in the field of sports. This can include rewards, jobs or other government benefits to athletes for their achievements in sports. Or a big plan could be announced in the same way that a plan for the disabled was announced today.
The Chief Minister today launched a scheme for the disabled near Divyang
Inaugurating the Divyang Samipe Yojana of Ahmedabad District Panchayat Education Committee, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the initiative of “Divyang Samipe Yojana” would be a blessing in disguise for the disabled.
The Chief Minister further added that Narendrabhai started the service yajna of quality education and dignified life for the disabled who lit the flame which is still burning today and this is the occasion to make it more radiant. He changed his attitude towards the disabled by giving them a respectable identity like the disabled. The Prime Minister celebrated his birthday in Navsari and set a world record by donating Rs 11,000 crore to the disabled.
Regarding Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that in the last 20 years, Rs. 100 crore has been provided to 8796 persons with disabilities in Gujarat and Rs. 190 crore has been given to others.
The Chief Minister said that cochlear implant surgery was carried out at a cost of Rs 87 crore for 2463 children with deafness from birth completely free of cost.
A helpline has been set up by the state government for the disabled to get quick solutions to their problems and perplexing questions through video call in sign language.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Panchayats Brijesh Merja termed the scheme near Divyang as a divine work and congratulated the entire district administration.
