Pollution board approves single use plastic option, could be launched soon
The startup of EDII’s incubation center has given the option of single use plastic. Nikhil Kumar’s startup Futur.com has created bottles, bags, etc. that look like plastic from sugarcane, corn and sweet potatoes. This product has been approved by Central Pollution Control Board and Gujarat Pollution Control Board. All the products will be launched in the market soon.

The product is currently being used in a hotel in Ahmedabad and a dairy chain in South India. Interestingly, Ashwini Vaishnav, Minister for Railways, Communications and Electronics and Information Technology at EDII, recommended the use of these items in the railways. The product will not harm animals even if they eat it
Our product is completely safe and eco-friendly. Currently our bottles and bags are used in Ahmedabad Hotel as well as Gift City Canteen. Sugarcane, corn and sweet potatoes are used in our product. We order raw materials from South Africa. The bag-bottle we prepared will take 180 days to decompose. The quantity will be higher as our product weighs less compared to plastic. We prepare items up to 30 microns. This product will not harm animals even if they eat it.
