Anchor arrested for spreading fake news about Rahul Gandhi: Chhattisgarh police rushed to arrest Anchor, Ghaziabad police stopped him, Noida police arrested him

Zee News anchor Rohit Ranjan was dramatically arrested on Tuesday on charges of running fake news against Rahul Gandhi. Chhattisgarh police reached Rohit Ranjan’s house in Indirapuram at 5.30 am. Seeing the police at the door of the house, Rohit tweeted and asked for help from the Uttar Pradesh police. Ghaziabad police responded to his tweet saying they were taking action for help.
Raipur police also responded to Anchor’s tweet saying they would co-operate in the investigation.

At 5.30 am on Tuesday, Raipur police reached his home to arrest news anchor Rohit. Rohit’s home is in the New Scottish Society in the Indirapuram area in Ghaziabad. Rohit tweeted at 6.16 am seeking help from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, ASP Ghaziabad and ADG Zone Lucknow. The Raipur police responded by tweeting that they should co-operate with the police and put their party in court. Meanwhile, Ghaziabad police also tweeted that the matter was under their notice and they were taking necessary action. At around 6.30 pm, Indirapuram police reached Rohit’s house.
There was a scuffle between Raipur and Ghaziabad police over the arrest without informing the Uttar Pradesh police. At around 7.15 pm, Noida police entered and arrested Rohit. However, officials did not say when the case was registered. Indirapuram CO Abhay Mishra has confirmed Rohit’s arrest.
Chhattisgarh police said there is no rule to report
Responding to anchor Rohit Ranjan’s tweet, Raipur police in Chhattisgarh said there was no rule to report. Yet now it has been reported. The police team has shown you a court arrest warrant. There was actually a need to co-operate and have to put your side in court.
Case against Anchor in Chhattisgarh-Rajasthan
The Congress alleges that a few days ago, anchor Rohit Ranjan distorted and misrepresented senior leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement on his special TV show. This has damaged their image. An FIR has been registered in Chhattisgarh in this case. A case has also been registered in this regard in Rajasthan.
