Sea rage in Gujarat: Signal No. 3 at more than 10 ports, wind likely to blow at speeds of 40 to 60 kmph

    On the other hand, even in Valsad district, the system has instructed the fishermen not to plow the sea in the 70 km coastline of Jamta district due to rainy weather. Signal number three has been given to the coast of Daman. The system has instructed fishermen not to plow the sea. Tourists are also prohibited from approaching the coast. Ports in Saurashtra including Mundra, Navlakhi, Bedi, Dwarka, Okha, Porbandar, Veraval, Diu, Jafrabad, Pipavav, Bhavnagar as well as Dahej and Bharuch are on alert.

    Signal number-01

    This number one signal is applied when the wind speed is 1 to 5 kmph. The wind is not very severe.

    This type of signal is applied when the wind speed is 13 to 20 kmph.

    Signal number five is applied to the port when the wind speed is 30 to 39 kmph.

    Signal No.-06

    When the wind speed in the sea is 40 to 49 kmph, the alarm signal number 6 is placed on the port.

    Signal number-07

    When the wind speed is 50 to 61 kmph, signal number seven is applied to the port.

    Signal No.-08

    When the wind speed blowing at sea or on the coast is between 62 to 74 kmph, the alarm signal number eight is placed on the port.

    Signal No.-09

    When the wind speed is between 75 and 88 kmph, a warning signal number 09 is placed on the port.

    Signal number-10

    Signal number 10 is applied to the port when the speed of the wind blowing in the sea is more than 89 but up to 102 kmph.

    Signal No.-11

    The speed of stormy winds blowing in the sea is from 103 to 118 kmph. When the wind is blowing at such a speed, signal number 11 is placed on the port.

    Signal number-12

    When the wind speed is 119 to 220 kmph, signal number 12 is applied to the port. Most of the signals up to number 11 are used in India. Sometimes the number 12 signal is applied. Earlier it was decided to keep signals up to a total of 17 numbers considering the wind speed. But most of the danger signal is used up to number 12. In India, only signals up to number 11 are generally used.
