This is the pain of the helpless mother of Meerut who lost her 4-month-old daughter. On June 14, the mother-in-law threw the innocent granddaughter on the ground. This resulted in the death of the child.

Fauzia, who lives in Lisadigate area, said, ‘I had flatly refused that I would not ask for more money for my in-laws from my parents. There was a fight over this matter. Husband beat me and mother-in-law killed my little life. It is my curse that Allah will never light a lamp in this entire family.’

Seeing the daughter as soon as she was born, she went to kill

Fauzia said, ‘My mother-in-law used to say that the day you gave birth to a daughter, understand that your grain and water are gone from the house. As soon as the mother-in-law saw my daughter lying next to her after the birth, she was smitten. Mother-in-law would have killed my daughter the same day, but somehow I saved her, but could not save much of the day. On June 14, my little life was killed at the hands of my own grandmother.

It was an excuse for dowry, took the daughter’s life

Fauzia told- ‘As usual on June 14, mother-in-law and husband were taunting me for dowry. The talk increased so much with taunts that the husband started beating me. I also said from where should I get the car in dowry? Where do you get so much money from Abbu to give you the car? Right now, on the birth of a daughter, goods worth 2 lakhs and 2 lakhs in cash, a total of 4 lakhs were given.

‘Just after saying this, my husband started beating me. Got furious. Said – Runs the mouth, started abusing. Mother-in-law also entered the room. First grabbed my hair, then beat me fiercely. Later, the girl was picked up from the bed and slammed. That little life could not bear this beating and it perished.

Just demanding dowry from the wedding day

Fauzia says, ‘I cannot describe the atrocities of the mother-in-law. I can’t remember a day when my mother-in-law didn’t ask for dowry from me. From the seventh day of marriage, the mother-in-law started taunting her for dowry. My mother and father gave everything in dowry. Cash was also kept, but the mother-in-law is so greedy that her hunger is not satisfied. It needs more dowry.

‘For a year, somehow I kept working after listening to taunts. Then she started saying that get a bullet from the maternal home for the husband. When he told the things of his mother-in-law to the husband, he too became in favor of his mother. Together they beat me up. Being fed up with the tribulation, somehow Ammi-Abbu also gave a bullet, but now the mother-in-law wanted the car. Where did you get the car from?’

He did not like the only child in the house

Fauzia said, ‘My mother-in-law hates girls so much that there is no limit. I am the eldest daughter-in-law of the in-laws. There are three younger brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Sister-in-law is also the only girl in the family. Now my daughter was the first child in the entire family and that too a girl. The same thing used to bother the mother-in-law that how the first child daughter was born. Had to have a son. Girls have to pay dowry, so mother-in-law does not want a girl child to be born in the house. If there are boys then you will get dowry. That’s why there is no girl in the family.

Even the husband does not say anything in front of the mother-in-law. Earlier he was a mechanic, now he is sitting free in the house for a year. just beats me. When I told the husband about the wrong look of the brother-in-law, he beat me. Even if he talked about dowry, he would kill me and after the death of the girl, forcibly threw me out of the house by giving me triple talaq. Since then I am here in my maternal home.

In the case, Fauzia has given a complaint to the police against the mother-in-law. The mother-in-law has not been arrested yet. The police are involved in the investigation of the matter.
