22 Coast Guard rescue operation by Indian Coast Guard at sea near Porbandar
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) rescued 22 people aboard a ship in the Arabian Sea, 185 km from Porbandar in Gujarat.
According to ICG officials, the rescue operation was carried out by the Indian Coastguard on July 6 after receiving a warning at 8 am. Rescuers have been brought to Porbandar port.

A crew member of the ship, which was sailing off the west coast of Porbandar, called the coastguard about the flooding. The Coast Guard rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the distress warning call and carried out rescue operations.
The ship had 6000 tons of cargo with 22 crew. The newly commissioned Advanced Pole Helicopter was deployed. Of the 22 people rescued, 20 are Indians, one is a Pakistani and one is a Sri Lankan.
