'Entrance Ceremony' in 32,013 government schools in the state from today

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the state-wide school entrance ceremony from Mahmadpura Primary School in Banaskantha.
The state government has organized the 17th school entrance ceremony for three days from June 23 to 25 in Gujarat. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will start the program from Mahmadpura Primary School in Vadgam taluka. While Gujarat Education Minister Jitubhai Waghani will visit Becharaji taluka of Mehsana district on 9th and will enroll children in three schools there. On the next day, the Chief Minister will enroll the children in Rumki Talao Primary School, Nizar Taluka, Tapi District, and on the last day of the program, he will visit Memnagar Primary School and admit the children.
Entrance ceremonies have been organized in 32,013 primary schools in 18,000 villages of the state. In which all the ministers from the Chief Minister to the Cabinet, MPs, MLAs, all the IAS, IPS, senior officials of the state government etc. will visit the schools during the three days and will enroll the children of standard one in the school. During these three days they will visit three schools daily and motivate parents, communities and schools to enroll children. The event had not been held for the last two years due to Corona and could not be held in 2019-20 due to the cyclone.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has said that the dropout rate in Gujarat has come down significantly by 91.89 per cent in the last 20 years due to the school entrance ceremony program. The drop out rate in Gujarat was 37.22% in the year 2002, which has come down to only 3.07% in the year 2022.
