Meanwhile, in view of the fierce performance of the youth, the government has increased the upper age limit in army recruitment. For this year, instead of 21, the youth of 23 years will be able to apply under the Agneepath scheme.
Mob attack on Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister’s house
Students protesting against Agneepath scheme attacked Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi’s house in Bettiah. His son told news agency ANI that his residence in Bettiah was attacked. There has been considerable damage to the house. Renu Devi is currently in Patna.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement has come to the fore amid the growing ruckus over the Agneepath scheme. He further said, for the last two years, due to the corona epidemic, the recruitment process in the army was affected, so Prime Minister Narendra Modi, worrying about those youths in the ‘Agneepath Yojana’, gave them a concession of two years in the age limit for the first year from 21 years.
