Rahul Gandhi National Herald Case: Rahul Gandhi was questioned by three senior Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials. The Congress MP was summoned in the National Herald case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. Rahul reached the ED’s headquarters at APJ Abdul Kalam Road at around 11.30 am. ANI quoted ED sources as saying that Gandhi’s statement was recorded under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). In the first round, Rahul was questioned for more than three hours. After that they were allowed to go out for lunch. During this, Rahul along with his sister Priyanka reached Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to see mother Sonia Gandhi. Sonia was admitted to the hospital on Sunday due to problems related to Kovid-19. The ED has also summoned him for questioning.
Rahul was questioned and answered by the ED’s deputy director, assistant director level officers. According to sources, in a phased interrogation, the ED first put personal questions to Rahul. Then there were questions related to property and financial transactions. In further questioning of Rahul, questions related to Young India and Associated Journals Limited may also be asked.

First gave courage to Rahul, then Priyanka reached to encourage the workers
When Rahul left home for the ED office, Priyanka was present with him in the car. She also stayed at the ED headquarters for some time. When Rahul’s questioning started, Priyanka came out and went to Tughlaq Road police station where the protesting Congressmen were kept. Congress leaders Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and KC Venugopal were detained by the police, taken to Tughlaq Road police station.
