Bulldozer on temple in Rajasthan: BJP said - this is revenge politics; Congress said- BJP's board broke
A dispute has started over the removal of encroachments during the widening of the road at Sarai roundabout in Alwar, Rajasthan. Bulldozers were also run on the 300-year-old temple that came on the way. On this action, the BJP has put the Congress government of Rajasthan in the dock. BJP says that it is not right to destroy the temple in the name of development. Congress is doing vendetta politics. At the same time, Congress has retaliated saying that there is a BJP board in Rajgarh Municipality and it has taken this action.

The administration says that according to the master plan, action has been taken to remove the encroachment in Rajgarh. Over the years there had been a lot of encroachment. According to revenue records, there is a road of about 60 feet here. It didn’t even survive 25 feet. Due to this encroachment has been removed from JCB.
Congress MLA Johri Lal Meena said that encroachment has been removed in Rajgarh town. There is a BJP board in the municipality here. That’s why they can’t say much. On the other hand, the Chairman of the Municipality Board says that this action has been taken at the level of administration. The administration says that the resolution has been passed at the level of the Municipality Board. Only then is the encroachment removed. In fact, in the master plan of 2012, it is a road of 60 feet. Action has been taken by referring to this master plan.
BJP MP said – mistake happened
Commenting on this action, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Kirodilal Meena said that the BJP board has made a mistake. It was not to be broken. On the other hand, BJP state president Satish Poonia said that how can the 300-year-old temple be encroached upon. BJP is sending its team to the spot, which will give its report in three days.
BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra said that it is very sad to attack the temple of God in the name of development. He also targeted Rahul Gandhi for this and said that you are carrying forward the politics of vote bank with the spirit of revenge.
Congress said – the recommendation was made only by the BJP
Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara retaliated, accusing the BJP of doing politics. Dotasara said that in 2018, the BJP Mandal President had written a letter to the Collector recommending the removal of this encroachment. There is a BJP board in Rajgarh. Its chairman is Satish Duharia. The resolution to remove this encroachment was passed in the board meeting. Only then has this encroachment been removed. Temples are not tampered with in the Congress government. This has been the agenda of the BJP.
Collector gave report after dispute escalated
Here, after the controversy over breaking the temple, Alwar Collector Shivprasad M Nakate has issued a report. According to the report, in the second meeting of the Municipality Board, a proposal to remove the encroachment was passed on September 8, 2021, stating problems in the master plan and Gaurav Path. On 6 April, notices were issued after marking all the encroachments.
It was told in this report that the Executive Officer (EO) of the Municipality had also sought police personnel on April 12, 2022, during the removal of encroachments. Everyone was informed two days before the removal of the encroachment. Regarding the temple about which there is a dispute, it was also claimed in the report that it was constructed recently and it was built on the drain. The idols were removed even before the encroachment was removed. The removed idols are being installed elsewhere by law by the Rajgarh Municipality.
