Demand to reopen the case against Bitta Karate, hearing on the petition of Kashmiri Pandit today

Cases registered against Bitta Karate, who was accused of murders in Jammu and Kashmir, can be reopened. Actually, a petition has been filed in the court of Srinagar, in which a demand has been made to open the case registered against Bitta Karate.

Victim Satish Tikku’s family has approached the Srinagar court with the help of activist Vikas Rana. Advocate Utsav Bains will appear on behalf of Tikku’s family. Hearing in this matter will be held in Srinagar court today.

Bitta Karate had confessed to killing Kashmiri Pandits

Bitta Karate, a separatist leader, was jailed in Kashmir on charges related to killing of innocent people and terrorism. In an interview, Bitta himself had confessed to killing 20 Kashmiri Pandits. Bitta Karate had said that he had killed 20 Kashmiri Pandits. In a 1991 interview, Bitta says that even if he had been ordered to kill his mother or brother, he would not hesitate to kill them too. Bitta also narrates how he started a series of massacres in the Valley with the murder of 22-year-old Kashmiri Pandit Satish Kumar Tikku.

Bitta was also arrested under the Public Safety Act. Bitta had more than 19 insurgency-related cases. He was also arrested during the Amarnath controversy in 2008. Bitta was a trend in martial arts, so people started applying karate at the end of his name. Bitta Karate spent nearly 16 years behind bars, finally on October 23, 2006, the TADA court released him on bail.

DGP had also given indications to open the case

Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh had indicated to open the case registered against Yasin Malik and Bitta Karate. He had said that we will investigate the cases registered against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. No terrorist will be spared.
