Forex reserves down $587 million to $635.08 billion

Mumbai. The country’s foreign exchange reserves declined by $ 587 million to $ 635.08 billion in the week ended December 24. Whereas its last week it was lower by $ 160 million to $ 635.66 billion. According to the weekly data released by the Reserve Bank, forex assets, the largest component of foreign exchange reserves, declined by $ 847 million to $573.36 billion for the week ended December 24.
Similarly, gold reserves increased by $ 207 million to $ 39.39 billion during this period. Special drawing rights (SDRs) rose by $24 million to $19.11 billion in the week under review. Similarly, reserves with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) climbed $28 million to $5.2 billion. (talk)
